About the role The primary purpose of this position is to provide clinical services through the examination, diagnosis, treatment and management of disorders of the feet and ankles. You'll be treating everything from foot pain, gait issues, orthotics and shockwave therapy to ingrown toenails and medical pedicures within a up-to-date, well-equipped clinic.

Key responsibilities
Provide patient treatments in the care of the foot and ankle including general toenail and skin care
Diagnose disorders of the feet and ankles
Consult with patients about preventative foot care
Prescribe corrective shoes and braces to treat gait and balance issues
Implement and maintain sterile and aseptic techniques
Prescribe and manufacture orthotic devices as an integral part of patient care
Perform minor surgical procedures
Liaise with medical practitioners, physiotherapists, chiropractors and other health professionals
Maintain clinical documentation to required standards




Supervise Podiatry Assistants

About you
Hold a degree Bachelor of Health Science in Podiatry or equivalent degree
Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
First Aid and CPR certification
Works independently, effectively and efficiently and takes responsibility for outcomes
High-level problem-solving skills and excellent skilled judgment
Communicate with patients and colleagues in an open, explicit and friendly manner
Treat others fairly and objectively and behave at all times with honesty and integrity
