About the business and the role

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Carpenter to join our team at The Zimmermann OZ Pty Ltd. working across the Brisbane and Gold Coast area. This full-time role offers the opportunity to contribute your carpentry expertise to a variety of exciting residential projects, with a strong focus on high-energy-efficient and healthy homes.

Job tasks and responsibilities
Carrying out a wide range of carpentry tasks including framing, roofing, and the installation of doors, windows, and cabinetry
Working on high-performance and energy-productive home builds
Reading and interpreting plans, engineering and specifications to ensure work is completed to the required standard
Collaborating with the project manager and other tradespeople to ensure productive and timely delivery of projects
Maintaining tools and equipment to a high standard
Following all site safety procedures and contributing to a clean, organized work workplace





Skills and experience
Completed trade qualification in Carpentry
Certificate III or IV in Carpentry required
Minimum 3 years' experience residential experience
Strong problem-solving and attention to details
Confident in reading drawings and specifications
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or in a team
Commitment to quality and safe work practices
Australian citizenship or permanent residency required

Highly regarded:
Interest in building physics, Passive house principles, or high-energy-efficiency construction
Experience with European building methods or high-performance construction standards (e.g., Passive house, airtightness, building physics)

Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $45.00 per hour
