With major long-term programs underway across Australia and strong growth in Queensland, we're looking for an Associate or Principal Structural Engineer to join our Water Utilities team in Brisbane.This is your opportunity to play a key role in delivering critical water infrastructure projects that support sustainable growth and resilient communities—from Brisbane to regional Queensland and beyond.About the RoleIn this role, you'll lead or support the structural engineering scope across multidisciplinary water projects of varying size and complexity.
You'll bring your technical expertise to the planning, design, and delivery of innovative, practical, and durable structural solutions.You will:Lead and deliver structural design for water-retaining structures, pump stations, sewer networks, pipelines, and associated assetsProvide technical input into proposals and support business development activitiesDrive integration of Digital Engineering and BIM-based coordinationUndertake condition assessments, design reviews,



and verificationsApply Safety-in-Design principles and ensure compliance with OHS&E; and quality standardsMentor junior engineers and contribute to building team capability About YouBachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering10+ years of structural engineering experience, including 5+ years in the water sectorRPV / RPEQ registration; Chartered statusStrong background in reinforced concrete, structural steel and water‐retaining structures aligned to Australian StandardsConfident managing projects from concept through detailed designExcellent communicator with strong client engagement and technical reporting skillsDemonstrated commitment to safety, environmental responsibility and quality Why WSP?
