As a Caseworker with our Return and Reintegration Assistance Program (RRAP), you'll provide person-centred case management and support to eligible non-citizens who need assistance to voluntarily leave Australia or a Regional Processing Country.
You'll work closely with clients, colleagues, government agencies, service providers and community organisations to help people navigate the return process with dignity.
You'll support clients with diverse and sometimes complex needs while helping deliver safe, high-quality and timely outcomes.
This is a hugely impactful role, and an opportunity to truly help out people in need.
As a Caseworker in the RRAP team, you'll make a positive impact by:
Managing a caseload and providing tailored, trauma-informed support
Supporting vulnerable clients through risk assessment,



case planning and interventions
Providing accurate, impartial and culturally appropriate information about RRAP and voluntary return
Coordinating client activities, approved travel arrangements and departure support
Maintaining accurate case records, reports and performance information
Building strong relationships with government, community and service provider stakeholders

You could be a great fit if you have:
Experience in case management, particularly with vulnerable clients or people with complex needs
Strong empathy, cultural competence and emotional intelligence
The ability to manage sensitive matters, recognise risks and exercise sound judgement
Strong organisation, prioritisation and communication skills
Experience working collaboratively in complex, regulated or sensitive environments
A relevant Diploma or Bachelor qualification, such as Social Work, Psychology, Counselling, Behavioural Science, Social Science or Community Services
You'll also need a current unrestricted driver's licence, First Aid and CPR certification, and Mental Health First Aid certification or the ability to obtain it.




You'll be required to obtain a Working with Children Check, and be willing to travel locally, regionally, domestically and occasionally internationally as required.
Must be an Australian citizen
