We value partnerships with consumers, families, and carers, and embed trauma-informed principles into all aspects of care delivery.Key responsibilitiesProvide strategic and operational leadership for the Mental Health Unit, embedding recovery-oriented and trauma-informed practicesEnsure delivery of safe, compassionate, and person-centred care that promotes consumer choice and participationFoster a culture of psychological safety, respect, and cultural sensitivity for consumers, families, and staffLead,
support and develop a skilled workforce committed to strengths-based and collaborative carePromote consumer and carer engagement in care planning and service improvementDrive quality improvement, clinical governance, and risk management activitiesManage workforce planning, rostering, and resource allocationOversee financial and operational performance to ensure sustainable service deliveryBuild strong partnerships with VMOs and multidisciplinary teams to enhance care continuityEssential criteria:Current Registration with AHPRA as a Registered NursePostgraduate qualification in Mental Health NursingDemonstrated leadership experience within a mental health settingStrong understanding of recovery principles, trauma-informed care, and consumer-centred practiceKnowledge of clinical governance, safety, and quality standardsProven ability to lead, coach, and support teams to deliver compassionate careExcellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skillsDesirable:Experience in the private healthcare sectorFormal leadership or management qualifications Why Healthscope?
