About the roleWe are seeking a values driven Retail Assistant who will perform customer focused retail tasks that support the daily operation of Family Stores, warehouses and the missional objectives of The Salvation Army.Reporting to the Area Manager, this is a casual role, based in the Noosa region, with work across the Sunshine Coast, QLD.
Salary and conditions are in accordance with the General Retail Award Level 3.You will successfullyProvide exceptional customer service to all donors and customers and provide appropriate assistance when working in the stores, collection points or anywhere else as reasonably required.Assist with the processing of all donations and ensure adequate amount of stock is on the shop floor at the correct price point.Perform store open & close established procedures as required.Comply with secure cash handling and banking established procedures as required.Assist in the execution and coordination of all promotional activities at the store.You will haveDemonstrated customer service experience working in a retail environment with an ability to work collaboratively in a team settingExperience supervising workers in retail or similar setting highly regardedSound presentation and communication skills (both verbal and written)
with an ability to interact with a variety of peopleAbility to prioritise tasks and manage time effectivelyCurrent driver's licence and reliable vehicleKnowledge of work health safety obligations practice of these in the workplaceIncumbent needs to have a reasonable level of fitness to carry out the duties of this positionWhat we offerAs a registered NFP we offer our eligible employees real and meaningful benefits such as;Flexible working arrangements.
