Our client is a well-known, ASX-listed mining company with a robust presence across Western Australia. Due to an upcoming period of leave within their payroll team, they are seeking a Payroll Officer to join them on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone early in their payroll career, or a Finance/Accounts Officer looking to make the move into payroll, to gain hands-on experience within a large, high-volume, well-structured payroll function.

About the Role

Reporting into an experienced payroll team, you'll support the end-to-end payroll process across a large employee base, gaining exposure to a fast-paced, corporate payroll environment.

Key responsibilities will include
Assisting with the processing and administration of end-to-end payroll
Data entry and maintenance of employee payroll records
Responding to payroll-related queries from employees in a timely, professional manner
Supporting timesheet processing and reconciliations
Assisting with current starters, terminations, and other employee lifecycle changes
Supporting month-end payroll tasks and reporting




Working closely with the broader payroll and finance team to ensure accuracy and compliance

About You
Exposure to SAP Payroll and SuccessFactors highly regarded
Sound knowledge of payroll legislation
High attention to detail and data accuracy
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently with initiative and meet strict deadlines
Intermediate MS Excel skills
Current C Class Drivers Licence
