Responsibilities
A Project Manager has the responsibility for applying intensive and diversified knowledge of detailing principles and practices in broad areas.
A Project Manager bears primary responsibility for properly executing the project management systems for each project under their direction.
They manage a team of professionals, set direction, outline goals, and execute the project plan.
A project manager's roles include contract negotiation, planning, organization direction and control of projects, being a team leader through technical supervision and staff development and contributing to business development.Responsibilities:Manages Projects Ensuring that all Production, Quality, Client Satisfaction, and Budgetary Objectives are Met Conducts needs assessment with client to determine project scope and requirementsAttends kick-off meetings to explain design options and gathers information related to schedule and budgetDevelops project plans and budgets including staffing and resource needsCoordinates project delivery with client, internal and external team membersPlans and leads internal and external project meetingsCollaborates with architects, contractors, and other engineering consultants to develop engineering solutions Coordinates and guides preparation of construction documents with drafters, modelers, designers, clients, and internal quality control staffCommunicates, coordinates, and interacts with clients, consultants, and team members regarding project informationOversees designs, reviews project specifications, and interprets applicable codes and industry standardsGuides/assists other modelers regarding issues such as codes, design criteria, and softwareReviews assessment and design task status against budget and schedule requirements Conducts regular quality-control checks of own or others' work as assignedResolves project issues (e.g., technical, budget, schedule, billing,



etc.)Monitors project staff and provides direction/ quality control as requiredMonitors project profitability through financial reports and financial review meetingsPrepares and maintains appropriate project tracking tools, including work plans, s-curves, % completes, backlog, A/R collections, etc.Monitors staffing/resource needs and reports to Team DirectorManages workload distribution and project resources Promotes our Extraordinary Client Experience (ECX), by building effective relationships with customers, design team, subcontractors, suppliers, and user groups that reflect and support company core values and meets or exceeds the customer's expectationsPerforms Other Functions as Needed
Qualifications
10+ years experience in the construction industry with 5+ related to steel modeling/ detailingExcellent written and verbal communicationStrong organizational skillsDemonstrated ability to engage individuals and teams to complete tasks or projects.Ability to mentor and lead individuals and teams, build partnerships, and work collaboratively with others to meet shared objectivesDemonstrated career growth that includes experience working on design teams for a variety of building or project typesStrong client-service attitude with ability to multi-task and accomplish multiple prioritiesStrong time management skills and the ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment
