Overview / Responsibilities
Wood is currently recruiting for a Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Melbourne.
Reporting to the Lead Mechanical Engineer, the successful candidate will be responsible for responsible for mechanical engineering for rotating, static, package equipment, HVAC and development of specifications, data sheets, Material requisitions, technical bid analysis, Engineering Queries.
Responsibilities Responsible for functional engineering services across our various projectsProvide technical support to designersAssist in discipline front end and detailed design input to engineering projectsAssist in executing and coordinating assignments within agreed budget and scheduleProvide technical guidance and support to the project teams and clientsResponsible for study, design, specification and services related to the engineering disciplinePrepare bid clarification questions and handle responses, and coordinate technical aspects of bid clarification meetings
Qualifications
Must be degree qualified with at least 5 years' experience, predominantly in the Oil & Gas sectorMember of Engineers Australia is preferredExperienced in engineering design including conceptual, FEED, detailed design and studiesCapable of communicating and interfacing effectively with other disciplines, project managers,



and clients' representativesMust have strong knowledge of applicable codes and standards including AS **** and ASME BPVCMust have strong knowledge of applicable codes and standards for rotating equipmentCandidates must have full work rights in Australia to be considered for this role.
