Multiple Locations Across NSWAre you passionate about helping young people reconnect with education, build confidence, and create positive pathways for their future?
We are seeking Expressions of Interest from experienced and motivated professionals interested in joining the School Engagement Support Program (SESP) as we expand delivery across New South Wales.The SESP is a school-based engagement program supporting young people aged ***** who are disengaged, at risk of disengagement, or experiencing barriers to educational participation.
The program combines personalised support, mentoring, skills development and behavioural coaching to improve engagement and educational outcomes.
About the ProgramIndividual mentoring and goal settingPersonal development and life skills workshopsEducational and employment pathway supportAdvocacy, referral and coordinated support servicesStrengths-based, trauma-informed engagement approachesThe program operates in partnership with schools and provides tailored support that addresses the unique barriers facing each young person.Facilitators work directly with students through:One-on-one support sessionsGroup wellbeing check-insCo-designed workshops and activitiesIndividual student plans and outcome trackingReintegration and follow-up support processesWe Are Interested in Hearing FromProfessionals with experience in:Youth workEducation supportSocial workCommunity servicesBehaviour supportCase managementVocational education and trainingMental health or wellbeing programsAboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community engagementEssential Skills and ExperienceYou will ideally demonstrate:Strong youth engagement and relationship-building skillsExperience working with vulnerable or disengaged young peopleAbility to facilitate group programs and workshopsKnowledge of trauma-informed practiceExcellent stakeholder engagement and communication skillsStrong report writing and case documentation abilitiesCapacity to work independently across school and community settingsDesired QualificationsRelevant qualifications in Youth Work, Social Work, Community Services, Education, Psychology, Counselling or related fieldsCurrent Working With Children CheckCurrent driver's licenceFirst Aid CertificateExperience or training in youth mental health, trauma-informed practice and culturally responsive practice will be highly regarded.
