We’re expanding our workshop team and are looking for an experienced Light Vehicle Mechanic who takes pride in high-quality work and enjoys being part of a friendly, supportive setting.

About the Role

As a Light Vehicle Mechanic with Simba Car Hire, you will play a key role in keeping our rental fleet safe, reliable, and ready for the road. Your day-to-day work will include:
Servicing and maintaining light vehicles (scheduled and unscheduled)
Diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
Conducting safety inspections and roadworthy checks
Performing repairs efficiently and to a high standard
Maintaining service records and ensuring workshop cleanliness




Working closely with the operations team to prioritise urgent jobs

What We’re Looking For
Qualified Light Vehicle Mechanic (Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent)
Demonstrated experience in vehicle servicing and repairs
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
Current driver’s licence
Reliability, attention to detail, and a positive attitude
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Experience with fleet or rental vehicles (advantage but not essential)
