About the roleEIC Activities is seeking a Principal Engineering Geologist and/or Principal Geotechnical Engineer to join our Ground Engineering team in Brisbane.This is a senior technical and leadership role where you will provide critical capability across major tenders and delivery projects, creating competitive advantage through technical excellence, collaboration, and innovation.
You will leverage CIMIC Group's collective experience, leading technologies, and global expertise to deliver value for our clients and communities.This is more than a technical position.
It is an prospect to:Lead and mentor high‐performing geotechnical and ground engineering professionalsInfluence design and construction strategies on major infrastructure projectsPartner with multidisciplinary leaders to solve complex ground engineering challengesManage projects where appointed as Project Manager, including client engagement and delivery performanceCollaborate with global experts and contribute to international best practice Key ResponsibilitiesProvide technical authority and leadership across geotechnical and ground engineering scopesLead ground investigations, analysis, design development, and risk mitigation strategiesAct as a trusted advisor to project directors, clients, and stakeholdersDrive innovation, constructability, safety, and quality across major worksSupport business growth through technical leadership, tender input, and thought leadership About youYou are a respected leader who brings people together, builds strong teams, and creates environments where ideas are valued and outcomes matter.You will ideally have:A tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Geology, or Engineering Geology15+ years' experience in engineering consulting and/or construction, including at least 5 years at management or senior leadership levelStrong experience across major civil infrastructure projects,
