About the role.We're looking for a Senior IT Support Engineer to join our IT team, with a robust focus on Jamf device management and macOS.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys owning platforms, solving complex problems, and mentoring others.You'll be the most senior Apple voice in the team, the person who takes the tickets nobody else can crack, and who can take a business requirement and turn it into a plan and a design.
ResponsibilitiesOwn and manage the Jamf Pro environment and act as the SME for macOSAct as the L2/L3 escalation point for the IT support queue, take on escalated tickets, resolve complex incidents, and perform root cause analysisPlan, design and implement system improvements: gather requirements, write a project plan, design the solution, and deliver it end to endManage zero touch deployment, configuration profiles, policies, app packaging and patch management across the Apple fleetDevelop scripts (Bash/Python) to automate deployment, configuration, remediation and reportingWork with the InfoSec team to assess, design and maintain IT solutions that meet organisational security and compliance standardsProvide support for Microsoft 365, particularly Entra ID and Exchange OnlineMaintain clear technical documentation and runbooks,



and uplift the wider support team's Apple capabilityMentor junior IT staff and contribute to team planning and continuous improvementRequirementsBased in Adelaide, South AustraliaAustralian Citizen (required) and able to obtain and maintain an Australian Government security clearance4–7 years' experience in IT support or systems administrationStrong hands-on experience with Jamf Pro, Apple Business Manager and macOSDemonstrated ability to scope and design a solution from a business requirement, and produce a workable project planScripting ability in Bash and/or PythonSolid understanding of Microsoft Entra ID and Exchange OnlineConfident working autonomously and leading technical problem resolutionClear communicator who can explain technical decisions to non-technical colleaguesCertifications (Highly Regarded)Jamf Certified Tech / Certified Admin / Certified Expert ************)Microsoft SC-900 / SC-300ITIL 4 FoundationApple Certified Support ProfessionalMicrosoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate (MD-102)Highly DesirableThese are not required for success in the role but would be beneficial.Bachelor's degree in IT or a related fieldNetworking knowledge and cloud experienceExperience supporting a predominantly Apple/macOS environment in a scaling organisationExperience with automation, endpoint management or infrastructure-as-code practices
