This is a highly autonomous role requiring strong clinical knowledge, sound decision making and the confidence to assess and prioritise resident care needs independently.Working alongside an After Hours Administrator, you will review incoming clinical requests from Residential Aged Care Homes, determine urgency, coordinate appropriate medical review pathways and ensure residents receive timely care.This is not a traditional nursing role.
You will use your experience to assess clinical information, identify priorities and support appropriate escalation pathways.Available ShiftsCurrent coverage requirements include:Saturday: 3:00PM to 10:00PMSunday: 8:00AM to 10:00PMAbout the RoleYou will:Triage and prioritise incoming clinical requestsAssess urgency and determine appropriate care pathwaysDecide whether cases require immediate locum review or can be managed through scheduled roundsReview clinical documentation, pathology results and resident historyContact Residential Aged Care Homes to gather additional information when requiredEscalate urgent concerns appropriatelyCoordinate with doctors,
nurse practitioners and support teamsMaintain accurate documentation across multiple systemsParticipate in clinical handovers between teamsWhat We're Looking ForRegistered/Enrolled Nurse with significant clinical experienceBachelor/Diploma of Nursing and AHPRA registration with no conditionsHigh level conceptual and analytical skills, able to respond quickly in a complex, evolving environment Minimum 5 years clinical nursing experienceStrong aged care, primary care, acute care or community nursing backgroundExcellent clinical assessment and critical thinking skillsAbility to make confident decisions independentlyStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsHigh level of attention to detailComfortable working across multiple software systems simultaneouslyStrong time management and organisational skillsWFH technical set up at with consistent connectivityThis Role Would Suit Nurses WhoEnjoy using their clinical judgement to triage tickets/referralsLike problem solving and prioritising competing demandsAre confident working independently while remaining part of a wider teamWant flexible evening and weekend work that can be performed remotelyHave strong aged care knowledge and understand when issues require escalationWhy Join Us?
