Overview / Responsibilities
Wood has an immediate requirement for a Consultant or Senior Consultant Engineer - Noise to be based in our centrally located Brisbane office.
The company has unique world-class engineering capability in the fields of Vibration, Dynamics and Noise (VDN) and we are looking for a competent Consultant with a keen interest in business development, noise measurement, modelling and assessment.
It is intended that the role would progress to a team leader role, dependent on growth of the practice.
A key task within this role is the ability to demonstrate technical excellence in resolving the causes of noise in industrial facilities and the impacts on people and the environment.
This is a practical consulting role combining hands-on field work and office based analysis.You will quickly become involved in:Actively build enduring relationships with clientsDeliver high quality proposal, reports and presentationsProvide leadership for standard and medium risk level projects, which may include environmental and occupational noise measurement, assessment and controlUndertake, supervise and teach routine and non-routine tasksDeploy VDN project and practice management systems to deliver high performance outcomes for our clients and the business Applicants must be either an Australian citizen or hold Permanent Residency (PR) to be considered for this role.
Qualifications




Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with an interest in Acoustics2+ years relevant recent experienceClient oriented with demonstrated relationship building skills and key account management with a passion for providing solutions tailored specifically to meet client requirementsCommitted to business process complianceSelf-motivated individual who has demonstrated experience in leading and/or working as part of a cohesive teamFlexibility to travel offshore and onshore, sometimes at short noticeHold a current manual unrestricted driver's licenseStrongly competent English language skills with effective report writing capabilityComputer proficientA commitment to HSE in the workplace
