About the roleThe Shire of Ravensthorpe is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Ranger to join our team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated individual to make a positive impact on the community.As a Senior Ranger, you will lead and manage a small team of rangers providing guidance, training and support to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of a customer-focused Ranger service to the Shire's residents, businesses and visitors.You shall hold a current C class license as a minimum and demonstrate essential experience as a Ranger in Local Government while enforcing the relevant Act's, Local Laws, Legislation and successfully completed training in Regulatory Officer Compliance Skills (ROCS) 1 and 2, Dog and Cat Management and Control; and Firearm Handling.
You will also have or be working towards Certificate IV in Local Government (Regulatory Services).
ConditionsApplicants must have or be willing to successfully obtain:Previous experience in a senior ranger or similar leadership role within local government or a related sectorDemonstrate ability to motivate and support team membersStrong leadership, communication and interpersonal skillsProven problem solving and conflict resolution abilitiesFirst Aid certificateCertificate IV in Government (Ranger Services) or equivalent qualificationsPre-employment medical including drug and alcoholNational police clearanceWhat's in it for you?
