$45 per hourApproximately 45 hours per weekTemporary/Casual employmentOpportunity to work on a major infrastructure projectHands-on leadership positionWork alongside an experienced site teamSupport from our recruitment team throughout your assignmentThe RoleAs a Leading Hand, you will work closely with site supervisors to coordinate daily activities, provide direction to workers and ensure works are completed safely, efficiently and to the required standard.This is a hands-on position, so we're looking for someone who is equally comfortable leading a crew and jumping in to assist when required.Your responsibilities may include:Leading and coordinating a small crew of site personnelAllocating daily tasks and providing clear direction to workersAssisting supervisors with the coordination of site activitiesMonitoring productivity, quality and progress of worksEnsuring works are completed in accordance with project requirementsProviding hands-on assistance with civil and construction activitiesCoordinating labour, plant,



materials and equipment as requiredConducting or assisting with pre-starts and toolbox meetingsIdentifying and reporting hazards, delays or site issuesEnsuring workers comply with site procedures and safety requirementsMaintaining strong communication between workers and site supervisionPromoting a positive and safety-focused culture across the crewWhat We're Looking ForTo be considered, you will ideally have:Previous experience as a Leading Hand, Senior Civil Worker or similarStrong experience within civil construction or infrastructure projectsDemonstrated experience leading and coordinating site crewsGood understanding of day-to-day civil construction activitiesAbility to read and understand site plans and instructionsStrong communication and people-management skillsAbility to organise workloads and manage changing site prioritiesA hands-on attitude and willingness to assist the crewStrong understanding of workplace health and safety requirementsCurrent Australian Driver's LicenceConstruction White CardFull Australian working rightsAbility to complete any required pre-employment and project requirementsAdditional civil construction tickets, plant competencies or relevant qualifications will be highly regarded.About YouYou're an experienced civil skilled who knows how to lead from the front.
