Disability Support Worker Tatelyn Crowley-McKayNorman Gardens, QLD, AUAbout the RoleJoin our Norman Gardens team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of people with disability across our Supported Independent Living (SIL) homes and Community Access Support (CAS) program.
We are currently recruiting permanent part-time Disability Support Workers.
In this rewarding role, you will provide person-centred support that promotes independence, inclusion, and quality of life for the people we support.
This role requires experience working with Complex Behaviours and Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) plans and is the perfect opportunity for experienced Support Workers.What You'll Be DoingProviding personal care and support with daily living activities, assisting with medication administration and monitoring health needsTailoring provided support to align with Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) plans, and providing care for individuals that may have complex behavioursSupporting customers to safely use mobility aids,
including hoists and wheelchairsEncouraging social inclusion through community participationMaintaining accurate documentation and completing administrative tasks as requiredSkills & ExperienceMinimum of 3 months working with complex behaviours and implementing PBS plans (required)Experience supporting individuals with complex medical or health needs (required)Ability to complete documentation and administrative tasks accuratelyA genuine and empathetic approach to caring for individuals with disabilityRequirementsCurrent Driver Licence (P2 minimum)Current First Aid & CPR CertificateNDIS Worker Screening Clearance (Yellow Card)Working with Children Check (Blue Card)Superannuation and penalty ratesPaid trainingSalary packaging options for Permanent Part time employeesA supportive team environmentThe opportunity to make a genuine difference in the lives of people with disabilityAbout MulticapFor more than 60 years, Multicap has been supporting people with disability to live independently and achieve their goals.
