About The RoleWe are looking for a full-time Trades Assistant to join our Maintenance team at our state‐of‐the‐art grading facility in Euroa.
Working alongside our experienced Maintenance Fitters, you'll provide hands‐on support with preventative and reactive maintenance, equipment repairs and general maintenance across our automated production and grading equipment.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is mechanically minded, enjoys practical work and is looking to build a career in maintenance.
We're looking to develop and support the right candidate, with the opportunity to step into a Mature Age Apprenticeship and work towards becoming a qualified Maintenance Fitter.The RoleReporting to the Maintenance Team Lead, your responsibilities will include:Assisting Maintenance Fitters with preventative and reactive maintenanceSupporting equipment breakdowns, repairs and general maintenance activitiesAssisting with the maintenance of plant and production equipmentHelping maintain conveyors, chains, belts, rollers, pumps, compressors and other machineryAssisting with basic mechanical repairs and component replacements under supervisionAssisting with equipment inspections,



routine servicing and fault findingCarrying, organising and managing tools, spare parts and maintenance materialsMaintaining a clean, safe and organised workshop and maintenance areaAssisting with spare parts, stock management and maintenance documentationFollowing all workplace health and safety requirements, including PPE, lockout/tagout procedures and continuous improvement initiativeAbout YouAre you already working in maintenance or mechanical work but don't yet have a formal trade qualification?
