We are seeking an experienced Bricklayer / Supervisor to join our team and oversee bricklaying projects from start to finish. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled, reliable and motivated bricklayer who is ready to take the next step into a supervisory role. You will be responsible for leading a team on site, ensuring high-quality workmanship, maintaining safety standards and keeping projects on schedule.
Key responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate bricklaying teams on site
Carry out bricklaying work to a high standard when required
Read and interpret plans, drawings and specifications
Organise daily site activities and coordinate with other trades
Monitor team members' hours and attendance
Monitor quality and ensure all work meets required standards
Maintain a secure, clean and organised worksite
Communicate effectively with builders, contractors, clients and team members
Identify and resolve on-site issues efficiently
About you
Proven experience as a bricklayer
Previous supervisory or leading-hand experience
Strong knowledge of bricklaying techniques, materials and construction practices
Ability to read and understand construction plans
Excellent attention to detail and a solid commitment to quality
Strong leadership and communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Valuable time management and problem-solving skills
A strong commitment to workplace health and safety
Relevant trade qualifications and a current White Card
