Formal qualifications are welcome, but they are not the only way to show you have the right skills for this role.Why This Role Stands OutYou'll help keep essential services working by:Maintaining water, sewerage and power‐related infrastructureMaintain and operate generators, plant, vehicles and equipmentRespond to faults, breakdowns, emergencies and critical service issuesCarry out routine inspections, preventative maintenance and repairsWorking with Council staff, contractors, service providers and community membersWhat We're Looking ForWe're looking for someone who is practical, adaptable and confident working in a remote environment.You may have gained your skills through work, community experience, training, on‐the‐job learning or other hands‐on roles, such as:Water or Wastewater OperatorMaintenance OfficerElectrical,



mechanical or general maintenance workerMulti‐skilled OperatorInfrastructure or Utilities Maintenance WorkerSomeone with robust practical knowledge of tools, equipment, vehicles, pumps, generators or community infrastructureYou don't need to tick every box or hold a formal trade qualification to be considered.
