Whether you're studying, looking to gain experience in hospitality, or simply love working with people, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.About the RoleAs a Porter at Dorsett Gold Coast, you'll be one of the first and last people our guests interact with, helping to create a warm and memorable experience from arrival to departure.You'll assist with luggage, manage the hotel driveway, support guest requests and work closely with our Front Office team to ensure everything runs smoothly.
This is a hands on, people focused role that suits someone who enjoys staying busy, meeting new people and delivering outstanding service.Key Responsibilities
Welcome guests and provide friendly, professional service
Assist guests with luggage on arrival and departure
Manage the hotel driveway
Respond promptly to guest requests and enquiries
Arrange guest amenities to ensure requests are handled promptly and thoughtfully
Provide information about hotel facilities and local attractions




Work collaboratively with the Front Office team to deliver exceptional guest experiences
Maintain the presentation and cleanliness of the hotel entrance, lobby and driveway areas.
What We Are Looking For
Previous experience in a porter, concierge, hospitality, retail or guest facing role is preferred, but not essential
An outgoing and friendly personality with a genuine passion for helping people
A proactive attitude and willingness to get involved and learn
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to work well in a fast paced team environment
Reliable and punctual with a robust work ethic
Weekend availability is a MUST, with the ability to work some weekdays, public holidays and other shifts as required
This role would suit a university or TAFE student looking for a flexible role alongside their studies
Most importantly, we're looking for the right person.
