You will provide the architecture, context and direction, critically review the output and ultimately own the quality of everything you ship.This is not a vibe coding role.
We are looking for an experienced engineer who understands what positive software looks like and can recognise when AI generated code is correct, secure, performant and appropriate for an established production codebase.What you will be doingFull Stack Product DevelopmentDesign, build and deliver production quality features across frontend and backend systems within your product streamUse AI coding agents as a primary development tool to generate, test, debug and iterate on codeProvide AI agents with the architectural context, coding standards and domain knowledge required to produce high quality outputsCritically review AI generated code for correctness, performance, security, maintainability and architectural fit before it reaches productionDetermine when AI assisted development is the right approach and when manual implementation will produce a better outcomeDebug and resolve complex technical issues across the stack using both traditional engineering techniques and AI assisted workflowsEngineering Quality and ArchitectureWork confidently within established system architecture, including database schemas, API contracts, service boundaries and deployment pipelinesContribute to technical design discussions,



architectural decisions and code reviewsMaintain and improve automated test coverage across the codebaseEnsure AI generated code is supported by appropriate testing and meets our engineering standardsIdentify and address technical debt while balancing delivery speed with the long term health of our productsTake ownership of the quality and production readiness of the software you deliverBuild and refine prompts, context documents and system instructions that help AI agents understand Rex's architecture, patterns and conventionsImprove established codebases for agent driven development through clear documentation, AGENTS.md files, Skills and other AI friendly engineering practicesExperiment with new AI development tools, techniques and workflows to improve engineering productivityIdentify common failure modes in AI generated code and develop practices that improve the reliability and quality of agent outputShare effective prompting strategies, workflows and lessons with the wider engineering teamCollaboration and Knowledge SharingWork closely with Product Managers, Designers and Engineers to deliver against product prioritiesParticipate in technical planning, sprint ceremonies, code reviews and engineering discussionsMentor and support other engineers through technical collaboration and knowledge sharingHelp uplift AI native development capability across the broader engineering teamContribute ideas and feedback as we continue evolving how software is built at RexWhat we are looking forStrong commercial software engineering experience with the technical depth expected of a Senior Full Stack DeveloperDemonstrated experience delivering software across both frontend and backend systemsHands on experience using AI coding agents such as Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Cody, Aider or similar as part of genuine agent driven development workflowsStrong software engineering fundamentals across system design, API design, databases, testing and deploymentThe ability to critically assess AI generated code and identify issues relating to performance, security, edge cases,
