You can experience a world of opportunity and the chance to shape a career as unique as you.The OpportunityOur Geotechnical team is looking for a Geotechnical Engineer to join us our Cairns office.You will be part of a team delivering geotechnical services across diverse infrastructure, renewable energy and development projects.
From site investigations and testing to foundation design, earthworks and geotechnical assessments, you will work alongside experienced engineers and technical specialists, gaining exposure to a broad range of projects while continuing to develop your technical expertise.In this role, you will:Assist in the delivery of geotechnical projects as part of multidisciplinary project teamsSupport the planning and execution of geotechnical investigations, including drilling programs, in-situ testing, sampling and monitoringUndertake geotechnical analyses, including slope stability, settlement, bearing capacity and earthworks assessmentsContribute to the design of foundations, retaining structures and ground improvement solutions under the guidance of senior engineersPrepare technical reports, factual investigation reports and design documentationParticipate in site inspections and construction support activitiesAssist in identifying geotechnical risks and developing practical engineering solutionsBuild relationships with clients, contractors and project stakeholdersContribute to a strong safety culture and ensure works are completed in accordance with health,



safety and environmental requirementsContinue developing your technical capability through mentoring, training and exposure to industry-leading projectsAbout YouYou will be able to demonstrate:A cooperative approach and strong communication skills, with a genuine desire to learn and grow within a high-performing teamBachelor's degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Engineering Geology, or a related disciplineApproximately 2-5 years' experience in geotechnical engineering, ideally within a consulting, infrastructure, construction or mining environmentExposure to site investigations, geotechnical assessments and engineering designFamiliarity with geotechnical software such as PLAXIS, GeoStudio, Slope/W, Settle3D, LPILE, gINT or similarStrong technical writing and report preparation skillsAn ability to manage competing priorities and contribute effectively within project teamsA commitment to professional development, with progress towards Chartered status viewed favourablyA valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to project sites as requiredYour enthusiasm for geotechnical engineering, willingness to learn, and commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes will enable you to thrive in our collaborative and supportive team environment.Imagine a better future for you and a better future for us all.Join our close-knit community of talented individuals who share your passion for making a positive impact.
