Summary:We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our engineering team in Camperdown for leave cover.This contract position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to precision manufacturing processes, ensuring high-quality production standards.
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the operation and maintenance of CNC machinery, supporting our commitment to excellence in engineering.Responsibilities:Set up and operate CNC machines to produce components according to specificationsInterpret technical drawings and blueprints to ensure accurate machiningMonitor machine operations and make adjustments as necessary to maintain quality standardsPerform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC equipmentCollaborate with engineering and production teams to optimise manufacturing processesMaintain a clean and safe working setting in compliance with health and safety regulationsQualifications:Completion of a relevant vocational qualification in machining or engineeringProven experience as a CNC Machinist,



preferably in a contract roleStrong understanding of CNC programming and operationAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and specificationsFamiliarity with quality control processes and toolsExcellent attention to detail and problem-solving skillsStrong communication and teamwork abilitiesThis position is suited to an experienced, hands-on CNC Machinist who is comfortable working autonomously.
The successful candidate will operate a SYIL X9 CNC mill with Siemens 828D controls, producing primarily prototype and small-batch components to standard machining tolerances across a range of materials.At Plasmaleap, engineering, machining, fabrication, and assembly happen side by side.
