Our client seeks a skilled Instrumentation Technician to join their team in Karratha.
As an Instrumentation Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining, installing, calibrating and troubleshooting instrumentation systems and equipment.
This position is essential to ensuring the safe and productive operation of our facilities and the accuracy of our measurement and control systems.On offer is a 2 and 1 offer from Perth, initially a 6 month contract.Key ResponsibilitiesInstall, maintain and repair instrumentation equipment including pressure gauges, flow meters, temperature sensors and control systemsPerform routine calibration and testing of instruments to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standardsDiagnose and troubleshoot instrumentation faults and failures, implementing corrective actions promptlyConduct preventative maintenance programmes to minimise equipment downtime and extend asset lifeDocument all maintenance, repairs and calibration work in accordance with company procedures and relevant regulationsRespond to emergency calls and provide technical support as requiredCollaborate with operational teams to ensure instrumentation systems support production objectivesAdhere to all health, safety and environmental protocols on siteWhat you will bring:Trade qualifications or formal training in instrumentation, electrical engineering, or a related fieldProven experience working as an Instrumentation Technician in industrial or operational environmentsStrong knowledge of instrumentation systems, control loops, and measurement principlesCompetency in reading technical drawings,



schematics and instrument manualsExcellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detailValid driver's licence and willingness to travel within the Karratha region as requiredCurrent First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a teamCommitment to health, safety and environmental complianceExperience in the oil, gas, mining or manufacturing sectors would be advantageousRio Tinto Iron Ore Essentials/Perth Regional Hub EssentialsRio Tinto Lock-holdersRio Tinto Personal IsolationRio Tinto SW Supervised Worker (Desirable).
Rio Tinto Electrical Workers CompetencyDemonstrate First Attack Firefighting EquipmentCurrent HLTAID003 Provide First Aid certificateCurrent HLTAID001 Provide Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation certificate (within previous 12 months).
EEHA Qualifications (Desirable).
EWP and High Risk Qualifications (Desirable).
