Location: Mt Thorley, NSW, AU, ****About The OpportunityWesTrac's Mt Thorley Rebuilds Workshop is seeking experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanics and Mobile Plant Mechanics to join our highly skilled team delivering complete Caterpillar machine rebuilds.
This is a unique opportunity to work in a modern workshop environment where you'll be involved in the full rebuild lifecycle of some of the mining industry's largest and most advanced equipment.Whether you're already working in mining or looking to transition your heavy diesel skills into the resources sector, this is your chance to develop your career with an industry leader.From $*****/hr+ (incl. allowances) + OT from $*****/hr12.5hr day & night shifts | 5 weeks annual leave – work only half the year on a Lifestyle roster!
Workshop-based CAT rebuilds | modern facility | secure, experienced teamWhat You'll DoPerform major rebuilds and overhauls on Caterpillar mining and construction equipmentDiagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic and powertrain systemsRemove, inspect, repair and refit major machine componentsConduct fault finding and troubleshooting throughout the rebuild processComplete quality inspections and testing to OEM standardsMaintain a safe, clean and organised workshop environmentCollaborate with supervisors and fellow tradespeople to achieve production targets and delivery schedulesWhat You'll BringAustralian recognised Trade Qualification in:Heavy Diesel FittingMobile Plant TechnologyPlant MechanicsHeavy Vehicle MechanicsOr equivalent mechanical tradeStrong diagnostic and fault-finding skillsExperience working on heavy mobile equipment, mining equipment, earthmoving machinery or heavy vehiclesCommitment to safety,
