Initial 6-12 month assignments (possibilty of extensions)Cisco, NSXCanberra officesGreen Light have an exciting opportunity for a high calibre, experienced Senior Network Engineer (NV1) to join one of our delivery partners based in their NSW offices.
This position will end-to-end consultation from requirements, solution design through to implementation, working closely with internal stakeholders to successfully deliver capability and maintain high availability.The Network Engineer (NV1) will join an established program of work and be responsible for the design, build, deployment and support of complex network solutions.
This is an ideal opportunity for Network Engineer with solid enterprise project experience in the full Cisco platform suite.This role does require an active AGSVA NV1 clearance at a minimum.
Consultants that do not hold this minimum requirement will not be considered.Responsibilities:Experience across complex network environments specifically on the Cisco platformStrong expertise with network optimisation technologies – Cisco, SD WAN, Riverbed etcRouting, switching and firewalls, LAN/WAN & managed network environmentsGood written communication, interpersonal & problem-solving skillsStrong technical knowledge with solid deployment experience using carrier protocols i.e. BGP, MPLS, OSPF, EIGRP and QoS.Analyse and assess security incidents and elevate to appropriate internal teams for additional assistanceFacilitate implementation of designated framework and relevant proceduresRequirements:10+ years professional experience as a Network Engineer and data centre technologiesExperience providing design,



implementation and configuration of networking products in SD LAN, WAN & Internet services environments.Deep understanding of network function virtualisation VMware NSXUnderstanding of F5 (LTM, GTM, ASM would be advantageous.Knowledge of cloud computing orchestrations and application architectures.Proven experience planning and delivering significant network solutions and integrating into large infrastructure projectTechnically agnostic across multiple platform / technologies – JRHEL/Linux etc.Networking: In-depth understanding of L2/L3 networking protocols including switching technologies, routing fundamentals, IP subnetting and Address Management, firewalling, load balancers, Security trust zones, Management Networks, VPN and network design.We are an Australian onshore services company that provides technology capability across ANZ and Asia.
