You will take ownership of your designated section and play a key role in mentoring junior team members and ensuring smooth service operations.You will be responsible for:Preparing and presenting high-quality dishes in accordance with established recipes and brand standardsProven experience working on grill and hot pan sections in a high-volume kitchen environmentManaging your designated kitchen section to ensure efficient service and food consistencySupervising kitchen operations in the absence of senior chefs as requiredMaintaining stock rotation practices and minimising food wastageAssisting with ordering, stock control and ensuring adequate mise en place for serviceCoaching and supporting mor junior kitchen team membersEnsuring all kitchen areas, equipment and workstations are maintained to the highest cleanliness standardsLiaising with Food & Beverage and Conference & Events teams to ensure seamless guest experiencesSupporting conference, event and restaurant operations with high-quality food productionComplying with all food safety, HACCP, WHS and hygiene requirementsThis role is ideal for someone who is passionate about food, thrives in a quick-paced kitchen environment, and enjoys developing their culinary skills while contributing to a collaborative team culture.QualificationsWe're looking for someone with:Relevant trade qualifications in Commercial CookeryPrevious experience as a Chef de Partie or an experienced Demi Chef in a hotel, restaurant or catering environmentStrong knowledge of food safety, HACCP and kitchen hygiene standardsExperience supervising or mentoring junior kitchen staffExcellent organisational and time management skillsA genuine passion for quality food and hospitalityStrong attention to detail and presentation standardsThe ability to work effectively under pressure in a dynamic environmentA positive attitude and commitment to teamworkFlexibility to work a rotating roster, including evenings, weekends and public holidaysAdditional InformationIf you are passionate about creating memorable dining experiences and are looking to develop your career with a global hospitality leader, we'd love to hear from you.
