Investing, developing, and managing long term infrastructure to grow the Territory and Northern Australia.We are looking for a reliable Groundsperson to join our team at Alice Springs airport.
You will assist with carrying out day-to-day maintenance of airport grounds and infrastructure to contribute to the safe operation of the airport.You will work with our team to ensure that relevant safety, security and environmental regulations, company policies and procedures are implemented and enforced.This role may also support the Aerodrome Reporting Officer (ARO) work to assist the team as required, during emergencies, team absence and busy periods once trained to the appropriate level.Your responsibilities will include:Mowing lawns and pruning treesMaintaining a clean and hazard-free runwayConducting general repairs and upkeep of airport facilitiesOperating equipment like mowers, backhoes, and bobcatsEscorting contractor's airside when requiredReplacing and repairing airside furniture as neededRepainting airside lines when they fadeCarrying out tasks safely and reporting any safety issuesAssisting the aerodrome reporting officer during emergencies and busy periods (once trained)Inspecting, monitoring, and reporting on airport conditionsResponding to airport emergencies when requiredTo be successful,



you will need:Experience with grounds maintenance equipmentAbility to work well in a team and independentlyInitiative and motivation to maintain airport landMinor infrastructure maintenance experienceAn NT driver's license or ability to obtain oneForklift operation certification or ability to obtain itAn airside driver's license or ability to obtain oneFirst aid certificationGood communication and computer skillsEligibility for an aviation identification security check and pass a national police checkThe position is subject to the NTAPL drug and alcohol management plan and ongoing testing regime.Desirable skills include:Knowledge of the general requirements of the NT work health and safety Act and regulations.Heavy vehicle licensePlant operator licenseWhy ADG?
