Katherine Motel is hiring a Full time Motel Manager role in Katherine, NT.Flexible schedule available5 years of relevant work experience required for this roleWorking rights required for this roleExpected salary: $90,000 per annumThis is an immediate start positionKey ResponsibilitiesOversee & train daily operations of motel accommodation, restaurant, café, bar, event/ conference space, pool and guest amenitiesEnsure smooth check-in/ check–out processes and maintain reservation systems efficientlyRevenue management and business growthDevelop, implement and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all departments to streamline operations and improve consistency across servicesMonitor property upkeep including cleanliness, safety, general maintenance of the equipment, grounds and premisesImplement security policies/ protocols to protect the premises from loss/ theft/ damage to any money, stock and equipmentDrive guest feedback collection and resolve complaints in a timely and professional mannerManage operational budgets and ensure profitabilityEnsure compliance with liquor licensing and food safety regulations.Promote and coordinate use of events/ conference facilities.Liaise with clients for planning and delivery of functions.Ensure appropriate staffing and service delivery for event/s.Manage staff performance, including staff expectations, conducting reviews, and taking corrective action where required.Preference will be given to the candidates with training skills of Bar/Barista Staff.Lead by example with a hands‐on,



service‐first approachFoster a positive and professional workplace culture, ensuring compliance with Fair Work and workplace laws.Ensure compliance with NT legislation, including health and safety, liquor licensing, and food safety.Maintain occupational health & safety procedures and incident reporting.Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly performance metrics including sales, guest feedback, and cost controls.Drive sales and profitability through creative promotions and community engagement and seasonal strategies to grow the customer baseBuild partnerships with local organizations to increase occupancy, event bookings, catering services and brand visibilityContribute to social media or local marketing efforts to promote accommodation, events, specials, or featured productsSkills & competenciesMinimum 5 years' experience in motel/ hotel/ hospitality industry desirableStrong leadership and communication skills.Financial management and budgeting experience.Familiarity with hospitality software (PMS, Channel Manager, Revenue Management, POS, accounting).
Problem- solving and conflict resolution skills.Current RSA certification and Food Safety Supervisor certificate (or willingness to obtain).
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.Ability to manage diverse team and multitask across service types.High standards of cleanliness, organization, and operational efficiency.Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
