This is an opportunity to join the Northern Territory Department of Education and Training in a corporate-based role, supporting schools across the Territory while enjoying the benefits of a professional work environment, regular business hours and a strong focus on work-life balance.Working within the Student Wellbeing and Inclusion Programs and Services (SWIPS) team, you'll work with multidisciplinary professionals to ensure children and young people are welcomed into inclusive learning environments where they can engage effectively with education and reach their full potential.
A strong focus on family-inclusive practice ensures a holistic approach to student wellbeing and success.About the RoleAs a Senior School Social Worker, you will provide professional leadership and specialist wellbeing services within a Multi-Tiered System of Support framework.
You will work with schools to improve student wellbeing,



safety and engagement through evidence-based interventions and targeted support.Key responsibilities include:Providing leadership within regional multidisciplinary teamsSupervising, coaching and mentoring social workers and other staffDelivering whole-school, group and individual wellbeing interventionsSupporting complex student wellbeing and behaviourFacilitating professional learning for educators and school leadersCollaborating with multidisciplinary professionals to deliver coordinated servicesLeading and supporting critical incident response and recoveryBuilding strong partnerships with schools, families and communities to improve student outcomes.
About YouWe're looking for a highly skilled and experienced social worker who is passionate about improving outcomes for children and young people.To be successful, you will have:An approved Social Work qualification that meets eligibility requirements for the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)Specialist knowledge and experience delivering wellbeing and social-emotional interventions for children and young peopleExperience providing leadership,
