Reporting directly to the Site FSQA Manager, this position has been established as part of Beef City's succession planning strategy and provides a structured pathway for the successful candidate to develop into a future Food Safety & Quality Assurance Manager role.Working closely with the FSQA leadership team, you will gain hands-on experience across all aspects of food safety, quality assurance, regulatory compliance, quality systems management, customer requirements, audit management and team leadership within a large export beef processing facility.This role is ideal for an experienced FSQA skilled looking to take the next step into senior leadership with one of Australia's leading food manufacturing businesses.Your key responsibilities and learning opportunities will include:Develop knowledge of and support the implementation and maintenance of site Food Safety and Quality Management SystemsWork collaboratively with quality and operational teams to achieve food safety, quality and customer requirementsDevelop knowledge of and assist in maintaining compliance with DAFF, Approved Arrangement (AA), AUS-MEAT, customer and export market requirementsPerform monitoring and verify FSQA activities across processing, production, laboratory and dispatch operationsParticipate in internal, customer, regulatory and third-party auditsAssist with the review, maintenance and continuous improvement of Quality management Systems,



procedures and supporting documentationInvestigate quality and food safety challenges, identify root causes and implement effective corrective actionsMonitor hygiene standards, environmental programs, pest control and process control systemsAssist with product, process and customer complaint investigationsContribute to training, coaching and development of FSQA personnel and operational teamsAssist the Site FSQA Manager in driving a strong food safety culture across the facilityParticipate in continuous improvement projects to enhance food safety, quality and operational performanceAbout YouTo be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:Experience in a Food Safety and Quality Assurance role within the meat processing, food manufacturing or related industryStrong understanding of HACCP principles and food safety systemsKnowledge of export meat processing requirements, Approved Arrangements and regulatory complianceExperience working with DAFF, AUS-MEAT and customer quality requirementsInternal audit experience and/or auditing qualifications highly regardedStrong problem-solving and root cause investigation skillsExcellent communication and stakeholder engagement skillsAbility to influence positive food safety behaviours within operational teamsStrong attention to detail and compliance focusDemonstrated leadership capability with a desire to progress into a management roleSound computer literacy and experience using quality management systemsRelevant tertiary qualification in Food Science, Microbiology, Quality Assurance or related discipline highly regardedAUS-MEAT competencies and meat industry experience highly regarded
