About the Role
The Head of Compliance is responsible for leading the enterprise compliance oversight and monitoring function, ensuring icare meets its legal, regulatory and policy obligations through the consistent application of compliance frameworks, controls and assurance activities.
Reporting to the General Manager Risk & Compliance, the role provides Line 2 oversight of compliance risk across the organisation.
The role ensures that compliance risks are effectively identified, assessed, monitored and reported, while delivering actionable insights that strengthen governance, control environments and organisational performance.
Duties
It's an exciting time at icare where no two days are the same; as aHead of Complianceyou will:
Lead and develop a high performing Enterprise Compliance function to deliver consistent and high-quality compliance outcomes.
Ensure the effective implementation and consistent application of the Compliance Management Framework across icare.
Provide Line 2 oversight to ensure obligations, controls and frameworks are appropriately embedded and operating effectively.
Lead the creation, execution and evolution of the Compliance functions objectives and deliverables, aligned to the overall business strategy.
Lead the development and execution of a risk-based compliance monitoring and assurance program, ensuring key obligations and controls are tested and validated.
Ensure outcomes of monitoring activities are analysed, reported and used to strengthen control effectiveness.
Build and maintain effective relationships with senior stakeholders to influence and uplift compliance performance and culture.
Skills & Experience




Proven leadership experience managing high-performing compliance teams
Strong compliance, risk or governance expertise in complex environments
Deep understanding of regulatory obligations and governance frameworks
Experience managing regulatory responses and legislative requirements
Skilled at building partnerships and providing practical, trusted advice
Thrives in fast-paced environments, balancing priorities and ambiguity
