Position: Chef

Position Type: Full time

Salary: $75,000 to $85,000 plus superannuation per annum

Location: Blackall QLD 4472

Our client is seeking a skilled Chef to join their team in Blackall, Queensland.

The Chef oversees daily kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food preparation, menu development, staff supervision, and compliance with hygiene and safety standards.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen workplace
Manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Maintain professionalism during busy or challenging periods
Operate under the instructions of the head chef
Prepare, cook, and present dishes to a consistent high standard
Communicating with other kitchen staff and relaying orders




Support the back of house team to ensure a smooth operation of kitchen
Manage and prepare ingredients for your section, ensuring proper storage and handling to maintain freshness and quality.
Maintain strict hygiene and food safety standards.

Requirements:
AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma in relevant field
At least three (3) years of experience as cook or chef
Solid knowledge of food safety standards and HACCP requirements.
Skilled in managing high-volume service and maintaining cost efficiency.
Effective leadership, communication, and teamwork abilities.
