We are currently seeking an experienced and hands-onLeading Handto join our client's team on theWakehurst Parkway Project in Sydneyon a temporary/casual basis.
This is a great opportunity for someone with strongcivil construction experiencewho is confident leading crews on site while still being willing to get involved in the day-to-day work.
Offering$45 per hour and approximately 45 hours per week, this role would suit an experienced Leading Hand looking to join a major Sydney infrastructure project.

The Role
As a Leading Hand, you will work closely with site supervisors to coordinate daily activities, provide direction to workers and ensure works are completed safely, efficiently and to the required standard.
This is ahands-on position, so we're looking for someone who is equally comfortable leading a crew and jumping in to assist when required.
Your responsibilities may include:
Leading and coordinating a small crew of site personnel
Allocating daily tasks and providing transparent direction to workers
Assisting supervisors with the coordination of site activities
Monitoring productivity, quality and progress of works
Ensuring works are completed in accordance with project requirements
Providing hands-on assistance with civil and construction activities
Coordinating labour, plant, materials and equipment as required
Conducting or assisting with pre-starts and toolbox meetings
Identifying and reporting hazards, delays or site issues
Ensuring workers comply with site procedures and safety requirements
Maintaining strong communication between workers and site supervision
Promoting a positive and safety-focused culture across the crew
What We're Looking For
To be considered, you will ideally have:
Previous experience as aLeading Hand, Senior Civil Worker or similar
Strong experience withincivil construction or infrastructure projects
Demonstrated experience leading and coordinating site crews
Good understanding of day-to-day civil construction activities
Ability to read and understand site plans and instructions
Strong communication and people-management skills
Ability to organise workloads and manage changing site priorities
A hands-on attitude and willingness to assist the crew
Strong understanding of workplace health and safety requirements
Current Australian Driver's Licence
Construction White Card
Full Australian working rights
Ability to complete any required pre-employment and project requirements
Additional civil construction tickets, plant competencies or relevant qualifications will be highly regarded.

You're an experienced civil professional who knows how tolead from the front.
You can keep a crew organised, communicate effectively with supervisors and make sure the job gets done safely and efficiently.
You take pride in the quality of your work, understand the demands of a busy infrastructure project and are comfortable balancingcrew leadership with hands-on site work.
