Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced HR Truck Driver to join our growing team in Townsville. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one year holding an Australian HR licence and at least five years of experience operating heavy rigid trucks. You will play a vital role in ensuring timely and secure delivery of goods while representing Agile Transport Services with professionalism and care.

Key Responsibilities:
Operate HR vehicles safely and efficiently in accordance with company and legal standards.
Perform daily vehicle inspections, report maintenance issues, and ensure vehicles are clean and roadworthy.
Follow assigned delivery routes and schedules, ensuring timely deliveries and pickups.
Load and unload freight using appropriate manual handling techniques and equipment.
Complete and submit delivery paperwork, run sheets, and digital logs accurately.
Adhere to fatigue management, safety, and traffic regulations at all times.
Maintain clear and professional communication with dispatch, clients, and team members.
Report incidents, delays, or service issues promptly.

Essential Requirements:




Valid Australian HR driver’s licence (held for at least 1 year).
Minimum of 5 years’ experience driving heavy rigid trucks.
Clean driving record and strong understanding of road transport regulations.
Positive physical fitness and ability to handle manual loading and unloading.
Robust time management skills and ability to work independently.
Basic mechanical knowledge and ability to perform minor maintenance checks.

Desirable Skills:
Knowledge of Townsville and surrounding delivery areas.
Experience using GPS and route planning software.
High attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.
Positive attitude and excellent customer service skills.
