About the role
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Pre-Fabricated Carpenter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for constructing, assembling, and finishing pre-fabricated timber components and structures in a workshop or manufacturing environment, ensuring all work meets project specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.
Key responsibilities
Read and interpret architectural drawings, plans, specifications, and cutting lists.
Measure, mark, cut, and assemble timber and other building materials accurately.
Construct pre-fabricated wall frames, wall components, panels, and other timber structures.
Use hand and power tools, machinery, and workshop equipment safely and efficiently.
Check dimensions, levels, alignment, and overall workmanship throughout the production process.
Identify and rectify defects or construction issues before components leave the workshop.
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work area.
Follow workplace health and safety procedures and protected operating practices.
Work efficiently to meet production schedules and project deadlines.
Collaborate with supervisors, carpenters, tradespeople, and production staff.
About you
Previous experience in carpentry, framing or prefabricated building is preferred.
Ability to accurately read and work from construction drawings and plans.
Competent use of carpentry hand and power tools.
Robust attention to detail and quality workmanship.
Valuable understanding of measurements, levels, angles, and construction methods.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good physical fitness and ability to safely handle building materials.
Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
Forklift License is required.
Carpentry trade qualification (preferred).
