We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our E&I; team at Karratha for Perdaman's Ammonia & Urea project. The E&I; Technician - Licensed will be responsible for maintaining electrical and instrumentation assets across the entire plant and offsites, ensuring optimal performance, compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and supporting operational excellence.
Key responsibilities
Maintain assets in responsible area to ensure optimal performance
Conduct maintenance and troubleshooting in compliance with safety, regulatory, and operational standards
Collaborate with plant operators, technicians, and engineers
Manage life cycle planning and ensure availability of critical spares in office
Support the installation, commissioning, and startup of recent plant, ensuring compliance with technical specifications
Provide technical support during commissioning, ensuring thorough testing and seamless integration
Maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical and instrumentation assets
Act as isolation officer for electrical and instrumentation as part of permit to work
Investigate failures, analyse issues, and report concerns to supervisors for corrective actions
Maintain accurate logs, history, and ERP records
About you
Electrician with full electrical license in Australia and Certificate-IV in Instrumentation or Australian Licensed Electrician with demonstrable experience in process instrumentation
Minimum of 5 years in chemical, petrochemical, or fertiliser plant
Proven expertise in maintaining and troubleshooting of assets in responsible areas
Previous experience in Process Plants and familiar with electrical equipment in Hazardous Area (EEHA)
Full working rights in Australia or eligible to get working rights in Australia
Engineering qualification recognised by Engineers Australia and eligible to pass the skill assessment
Conversant with English language
Physically capable of traversing the plant and accessing process plant and equipment at different elevations
High Voltage Switching ticket (or willing to get a ticket before joining)
First Aid training including CPR
