As a Welding Trainer, you will be teaching the next generation of welders, drawing on your own experience both in the classroom and in the workshop.

Welding Trainer & Assessor

We are looking for people with experience as a welder, who are looking for a better work-life balance. We can even help you gain the teaching qualification! We are looking for a part time Trainer and Assessor for our Engineering (Welding) department at our Osborne Park campus.

The primary course to be delivered is:
MEM40119 Certificate IV in Engineering (Welding)

Key duties include:
Teach students specific Engineering / Welding units according to SIA procedures
Provide support, mentoring and motivation,



assisting a range of students from various backgrounds
Maintain student records accurately
Participate in professional development
Maintain industry currency

Position requirements
Unrestricted right to work in Australia.
Candidates with versatile availability will be highly preferred.
Preferred: Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or TAE40122), or diploma or higher level qualification in adult education. SIA may provide assistance to obtain this qualification to the right candidate.
Preferred: Australian-recognised qualification in Engineering at a minimum of Certificate III level. Verifiable professional experience in the welding industry may also be acceptable.
Current welding industry skills and knowledge.
High level of spoken and written English.
Police clearance or willingness to obtain one
