Position: Technical Business Analyst – SQL & Alteryx

We are seeking an experienced Technical Business Analyst with strong hands-on expertise in SQL, Alteryx, data analysis, stakeholder management, and business requirements gathering. The successful candidate will work closely with business and technical teams to analyze large datasets, identify data issues, optimize workflows, support reporting, and deliver actionable insights.

Must-Have Skills

Solid hands-on SQL experience, including:
Inner, Left, Right, and Full Joins
Complex SQL queries
Query performance tuning and optimization
Working with large datasets from multiple sources
Data validation, reconciliation, and root cause analysis
Robust hands-on experience with Alteryx Designer
Workflow development and optimization
Workflow automation
Data preparation, cleansing, transformation, and validation
Solid Business Analysis & Requirements Gathering experience
Excellent Stakeholder Management skills
Business and technical stakeholder engagement
Status reporting
Executive-level communication and presentations
Requirements gathering and analysis

Key Responsibilities




Analyze large and complex datasets using SQL and Alteryx.
Develop and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, validation, and reconciliation.
Perform data quality analysis and investigate discrepancies through root cause analysis.
Design, develop, optimize, and automate Alteryx workflows.
Gather business and technical requirements from stakeholders.
Translate business requirements into data and reporting solutions.
Prepare status reports and communicate project/data findings to senior and executive stakeholders.
Support dashboard, KPI, and management reporting requirements.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
Work with data engineering and BI teams on ETL/ELT, data warehouse, and reporting initiatives.
Manage stakeholder escalations and customer-facing data issues.
Prepare functional documentation, process documentation, solution designs, and reporting specifications.
Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
