National Account Manager – Grocery / FMCG

Role Overview

Seeking a National Account Manager to manage a major grocery account within the personal care category, with responsibility for the Woolworths portfolio and Metro. The role focuses on driving profitable sales growth, strengthening customer partnerships and improving product availability and performance.

Key Responsibilities
Analyse sales performance, identify growth opportunities and improve profitability.
Manage trade spend and portfolio budgets within established commercial guidelines.
Lead bottom-up forecasting and ROI tracking across promotional and trade investments.
Develop and implement Joint Business Plans , including annual promotional and activation calendars.
Lead category reviews to improve product visibility, distribution and availability.
Partner with Category, Marketing and broader commercial teams to shape customer and category strategies.
Manage day-to-day account administration and resolve commercial issues.




Share best practices across the Grocery team and contribute to capability development of emerging account managers.
Support the National Business Manager with coaching and development initiatives.

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree.
3+ years’ FMCG account management experience , ideally with major grocery or retail customers.
Proven sales forecasting and supply planning experience.
Solid analytical and financial skills, including the ability to work with P&Ls; .
Positive understanding of category management and shopper principles.
Intermediate Excel and PowerPoint skills.
Robust presentation, negotiation and selling abilities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
