Retail Heavy Goods Team Member

The Nurso – Chandler, Brisbane The Nurso is looking for a friendly, reliable and physically capable Retail Heavy Goods Team Member to join our busy garden centre. This is a hands-on, customer-facing role working primarily with our range of pots, planters, outdoor furniture and other bulky products. You’ll help customers choose the right products, prepare purchases and safely load goods into vehicles.

About the role

Your responsibilities will include:
Providing friendly, knowledgeable customer service
Assisting customers with pots, planters, outdoor furniture and other heavy products
Safely lifting, moving and loading bulky goods
Using trolleys, lifting equipment and secure manual-handling techniques
Preparing and checking customer orders
Receiving deliveries and helping unload stock
Replenishing and merchandising products throughout the nursery
Keeping retail, storage and loading areas clean, safe and organised
Helping with general garden-centre duties when required

What we’re looking for

We would love to hear from someone who:
Is physically capable and comfortable working with heavy and bulky products




Has excellent customer-service and communication skills
Is reliable, punctual and able to work well within a team
Uses initiative and is willing to get involved wherever needed
Understands the importance of safe manual handling
Is comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
Can work efficiently in a busy retail setting
Is available for weekend work

Previous experience in retail, warehousing, landscaping, removals, nursery work or heavy-goods handling would be highly regarded. A current driver’s licence and forklift licence would be an advantage but are not essential.
