Why Buys?

The Buys room is the heart of a Cash Converters store, or the 'engine room' as we like to call it. This is a unique department and an exciting and diverse role that will see you liaising with people from all walks of life and encountering many weird and wonderful products that customers bring in to sell or take out a loan against.

What your typical day would include:
Interacting with a diverse range of personalities
Providing outstanding customer service to encourage repeat business
Negotiating with customers
Research items and make a considered judgement
Work towards, and exceed sales targets
Be able to manage and handle stock, and keep storage areas well maintained
Merchandise stock
General retail duties when required

Why Retail? The key focus of this role as a Retail Assistant is to provide an excellent customer experience and sell a diverse range of products within the retail department on a full time basis. A typical day will include:




Engaging with customers through demonstrating respect and empathy to build trust.
Accurately performing day-to-day transactions through our point of sale system.
Visually merchandising the store, maintaining an inviting environment for our customers.
Sharing your ever-growing product knowledge in areas ranging from mobile phones, power tools, gaming consoles, musical instruments and so much more.
Working towards achieving sales targets, both individually and as a store.

What do you need?
Strong knowledge in electronics and/or tools will be highly regarded
Ability to use initiative and think on your feet
The ability to relate to a diverse range of customers
Basic computer skills, accurate data entry and high level of attention to detail
Superb communication skills
Outstanding team player

Retail sales will also be a part of the position.
