Mermaid Family Practice is seeking a friendly, reliable, and professional Medical Receptionist to join our team on a casual basis, with the opportunity to transition into a permanent role for the right candidate. We are an AGPAL-accredited, private billing family practice located in Mermaid Waters on the Gold Coast.

As the first point of contact for our patients, you will help create a welcoming, supportive, and efficient front-desk experience while assisting with the smooth day-to-day running of the practice.

Responsibilities
Greet patients and manage appointment bookings.
Answer incoming phone calls and respond to patient enquiries.
Maintain accurate and confidential patient records using Best Practice software.
Process payments and assist with billing and accounts.
Support the Practice Manager with general administrative duties.
Assist the clinical team with day-to-day administrative tasks.

About You
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Friendly, professional, and patient-focused customer service approach.
Confident using computers and able to learn recent systems quickly.
Highly organised with strong attention to detail.




Positive attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn.

Experience
No prior medical reception experience required; full training will be provided.
Experience in reception, administration, or customer service is highly regarded.
Best Practice experience is an advantage.
