Location: Yard-based role (must have reliable transport to and from the depot)

Pay Rates:
Ordinary Time: $38.45 per hour
Time and a Half: $49.22 per hour
Double Time: $64.60 per hour

About the Role We are seeking a motivated HR Driver / Offsider to join a busy waste management team servicing residential bin collections and council curbside pickups. This is a physically demanding position ideal for someone with an HR Licence who is looking to gain driving experience and progress within the industry.

Initially, the role will primarily involve working as an Offsider, assisting with waste collection, before progressing to operating MR and HR vehicles as opportunities become available.

Key Responsibilities
Assist with residential wheelie bin collection services.
Support council curbside clean-up operations.
Manually load furniture, mattresses, household items, and general waste into collection vehicles.
Operate side-arm and front-lift waste trucks when required and trained.
Complete collection runs efficiently while meeting daily targets and deadlines.
Follow all company safety procedures and council regulations.




Start and finish each shift at the depot.

Requirements
Current HR Driver Licence (essential).
Physically fit and capable of performing repetitive manual handling duties.
Comfortable lifting and loading heavy household waste items.
Reliable transport to and from the depot.
Solid work ethic and willingness to learn.
Ability to work in a quick-paced workplace and meet collection targets.
Safety-focused attitude and positive communication skills.

About You
Minimal driving experience is welcome.
Happy to start in an offsider role and work towards regular driving duties.
Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented.
Able to perform physically demanding work throughout the shift.
Motivated to build a long-term career in waste management and logistics.

Performance Expectations Following successful training, employees will be expected to work towards collection targets. Experienced operators currently collect approximately 600 bins per day within allocated timeframes.
