About the role

B&H; Painting & Decorating is seeking a Junior Apprentice to join our family-owned business established in Adelaide in 1984. This is a 4-year apprenticeship in Painting and Decorating, where you will learn a skilled trade with roots in traditional craftsmanship that AI won't be taking over any time soon. We carry out all types of painting and decorating projects in Adelaide including commercial sites, current and old residential work, heritage projects, plus ongoing school holiday maintenance painting programs.

Most of our work is north of the city, though we travel all over Adelaide and suburbs with occasional country projects.

Key responsibilities
Assist with all types of painting projects on commercial and residential sites
Learn and apply painting and decorating techniques under supervision
Travel to building sites across Adelaide and surrounding areas
Work as part of a team on various project types

About you
Preferably straight from high school




Willing to see out the full 4-year apprenticeship
Reliable and punctual
Able to follow instructions and retain information
Comfortable with heights
Physically capable of hands-on work
Valuable teamwork and communication skills
Positive eyesight
Able to speak and understand English well
Have a driver's license and a reliable vehicle
Willing to travel to building sites
Preferably have a white card or the ability to get one
Have the ability to obtain a Working With Children Clearance

About us B&H; Painting & Decorating are a family owned and run business established in Adelaide in 1984. Over the years we have trained over 10 apprentices into skilled tradesmen. This trade is ever evolving but very much has its roots set in the past, meaning once qualified you will always have work for many more decades to come, anywhere around the world.
