Senior Pastry Chef / 2IC

Wildflour Artisan Bakery – Canberra

We are looking for an experienced Senior Pastry Chef to join our production team in a 2IC leadership role.

This is a hands-on position for someone with robust pastry and bakery experience who can help lead the team, maintain high production standards and support the smooth running of our daily operation.

The Role The position is approximately 2:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. and includes weekend work.

Key responsibilities include
Producing laminated pastries, including croissants and Danish
Bread and sourdough production
Shaping, proofing, baking and preparing fillings and components
Coordinating daily production and ensuring orders are completed on time
Leading, supporting and training the production team
Maintaining consistent quality and production standards
Assisting with stock control and production planning
Maintaining high food safety, hygiene and cleanliness standards

About You We are looking for someone who:
Has strong professional pastry or bakery experience
Is confident with laminated dough and viennoiserie production




Has previous leadership or supervisory experience
Is organised, reliable and comfortable working in a busy production setting
Can work independently and make decisions when required
Has robust attention to detail and high quality standards
Is available for early starts and weekend work

Formal pastry or baking qualifications are highly regarded, although extensive industry experience will also be considered.
