Hinterland Pools is a locally owned Pool Shop based in Alstonville Plaza, providing regular pool servicing, maintenance and repairs to swimming pools around Alstonville and surrounding areas throughout the Northern Rivers. We are looking for a reliable and motivated Pool Technician to join our team. The role is primarily focused on regular pool servicing, equipment installations, with the chance to also become involved in pool construction.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out scheduled pool and spa servicing and cleaning.
Test and balance water chemistry and safely handle pool chemicals.
Inspect, maintain and troubleshoot pumps, filters, chlorinators and other equipment.
Complete basic equipment repairs and installations where required.
Maintain accurate service records and communicate professionally with customers.
Maintain the service vehicle, tools, equipment and stock.
Assist with pool construction projects as required.
Follow workplace health and safety procedures.
Skills & Experience
Previous pool industry experience is preferred; however, training can be provided to the right applicant. The successful applicant should have:
Current Australian driver's licence.
Good practical and mechanical ability.
Valuable communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently and manage a daily workload.
Reliable, punctual and professional attitude.
Reasonable physical fitness and willingness to work outdoors.
Experience in pools, plumbing, construction, landscaping or another trade would be highly regarded.
