About the Role

Join the team at McGuire Hotels' RQ's Tavern as a Commis Chef. This full time role offers the prospect to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment in Robina, QLD 4226. As a Commis Chef, you will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef in the preparation and cooking of a diverse range of high-quality dishes.

What you'll be doing
Assist the Head Chef in the preparation and cooking of a variety of menu items
Ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest standard and in a timely manner
Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to all health and safety regulations
Contribute to the development and testing of new menu items
Participate in stock management and ordering processes
Support the Head Chef in the day-to-day operations of the kitchen

What we're looking for
Previous experience as a Commis Chef or in a similar role within the Hospitality & Tourism industry
Demonstrated expertise in Chefs/Cooks duties, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation
Excellent time management and organisational skills with the ability to work well under pressure




Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene
Passion for creating delicious, high-quality dishes and a willingness to learn and develop your culinary skills
Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with the kitchen brigade
